Eskridge & Associates: Honoring Our Heroes on Veterans Day

Veterans Day is a time to reflect on the sacrifices and efforts of American Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, National Guard, and Coast Guard personnel. From one generation to the next, millions of men and women have willingly joined the ranks of America's Armed Forces. Aware of their obligations as citizens of the greatest Nation on earth, they answered its call; they have supported the United States with courage and commitment. These heroes have generously served our Nation where and when they were needed.

Freedom does not come freely, and our Armed Forces have secured for us a freedom that surpasses any other nation. Our forefathers freed us from another nation and secured the United States of America as a haven of values and independence, and for over two hundred years American service personnel have preserved this liberty by their willingness to fight for it, whatever the cost. Our armed forces have a long and proud history, filled with tradition and pivotal moments in service to our nation. From the battlefields of Lexington and Bunker Hill, to Afghanistan and Iraq, American troops have stood firm against those who would deny basic human dignity to others.

On this day we remember the grandparents, mothers and fathers, uncles and aunts, brothers and sisters, and our own children who have protected our country since its founding. We pause to honor each of you, America’s veterans, who have served so faithfully and honorably. Through your sacrifices you have secured for millions of others the blessings of freedom, democracy, and the unmatched opportunity that we enjoy in the United States today.

We also share November 11 with a number of other countries who honor Remembrance Day or Armistice Day. As we reflect on the sacrifices made by our own brothers and sisters, let us also remember the other nations who stand together and fight with us for the cause of freedom and safety to all. Let this day remind us that we should be thankful each day for the freedom we enjoy, and continue to work towards sharing that freedom with others.

Each year, the Veterans’ Administration asks veterans wear their medals for the day. If you happen to see veterans, go up and shake their hands or give them a hug and say thank you. May each of you have a safe Veterans Day. God bless each of you and your families, God bless our Armed Services, and God bless the United States of America.

Eskridge & Associates is a Certified Employee Retention Specialist

Round Rock, TX, November 7, 2007. Congratulations to Bob Eskridge of Eskridge & Associates for being awarded the CERS, Certified Employee Retention Specialist designation at the annual National Association of Personnel Services 2007 convention. He is one of less than 20 individuals who has been trained by one of the leading experts in employee retention and organizational development and given this designation.

Our economy is starting (or has already started) to transition rapidly into a "sellers' labor market" where there will soon be too many jobs and not enough people with the right skills or attitudes to get the work done. The implications for employee turnover at your organization are profound. The potential turnover and resulting deficit of skilled and engaged/committed workers will, without a doubt, affect the performance of your workforce and the financial well-being of your organization.” – Joyce Gioia, Partner, The Herman Group

The CERS certified consultant is prepared to help companies develop winning employee retention strategies that make a bottom-line contribution to the profitability of their organizations. The consultant can also help you build and sustain a successful retention culture by focusing on those elements that can make you an organization that attracts, develops, and retains top performers.
